Justin Gatlin at USATF

Shout out to world class American sprinter Justin Gatlin for placing second at the USATF Classic in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Gatlin was fifth place in the preliminaries against 14 others at this invitation-only event and finished strong in the finals taking second place with an impressive time of 6.57! Dexter McCluster Deuced Out

Now that its the off season it seems there's at least two things that Kansas City Chiefs running back Dexter McCluster is up to— playing some pool and rocking his Deuce watch proudly. Although McCluster scored his first NFL touchdown (94 yards!) against our own San Diego Chargers, we can't hold that against him, especially not when he's looking good and playing good wearing his Deuce watch.

Zac Etheridge - Athlete of the Month

I grew up in the small town of Troy, Alabama, where I was determined to excel in academics and athletics. My faith, family and hard work led me to achieve one of my childhood dreams, playing football at Auburn University, War Eagle! I never imagined my time on the Plains would bring a broken neck or a BCS National Championship, but I've always known God had great plans for my
life. I was also blessed with the opportunity to live out another childhood dream, playing professional football for the Oakland Raiders. My NFL dreams are currently on hold due to an injury, but I know this isn't the end of my story...just the beginning of a new chapter and I'll always "Keep Moving 4ward."Deuce asked Zac a couple questions for you to get to know him better:

1.What is your favorite Deuce watch besides yours?
I have to say the all white G2 is my favorite because you can wear it anytime, with anything.

2. Quote of the day?
"YOLO. Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something. Work hard everyday to turn your dreams and goals into a
reality."

3. Favorite NBA Team and why?
Well, growing up I was a Chicago Bulls fan. Now, I have to say I am all Miami Heat. #TeamLebron #WadeCounty

4. What is it like being a Deuce athlete?
It is incredible experience being able to link up with a group of athletes who are equally as driven as myself. I am
fortunate and grateful to represent Deuce Brand and humbled that I get to use their watches to tell my story. #TeamDeuce

5. What are the 5 must have items while traveling
Must have clean workout clothes, snacks, my iPod, "Keep Moving 4ward" Deuce watch and cleats...just in case anyone wants
to try me. Always have to be ready to go. LOL

Stephen Strasburg 5K

More than 1,750 people participated 2012 Stephen Strasburg 5K with Tony Gwynn benefiting the Aztec Baseball program.  #teamdeuce was there for the 2nd consectutive year. The Second Annual Stephen Strasburg 5K with Tony Gwynn took place on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at SDSU.

Strasburg said, "Today's activities and the turnout from the community exceeded my expectations in every way," On behalf of all Aztecs alumni everywhere, I am proud and honored to be able to give back to this great universitythat has given me so much. This is a wonderful reminder of why San Diego is known as America's Finest City. Go Aztecs."

Alan Stein

Alan Stein is the owner of Stronger Team and the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the nationally renowned, Nike Elite DeMatha Catholic High School basketball program.  He spent 7 years serving a similar position with the Montrose Christian basketball program. Alan brings a wealth of valuable experience to his training arsenal after years of extensive work with elite high school, college, and NBA players.  

His passion, enthusiasm, and innovative training techniques make him the world’s leading expert on productive training for basketball players.  Alan is a performance consultant for Nike Basketball as well as the head conditioning coach for the annual  Jordan Brand All American Classic and the Nike Summer Skills Academies.  Alan is a Camp Coach at the prestigious NBA Players Association’s Top 100 Camp as well as the Chris Paul CP3 Elite Backcourt Camp. He served as the conditioning coach for the McDonald’s All American game for 5 years.

Zac Etheridge

 This "comeback kid" regained his starting position at Safety and was a senior leader on the undefeated Auburn University football team that won the 2010 BCS National Championship. Following the end of the NFL lockout in 2011, Zac signed with the Oakland Raiders as a rookie free agent, but received a medical release following a knee injury he sustained during a preseason game. Zac hopes the "Keep Moving 4ward" watch can serve as a positive daily reminder to anyone facing adversity in their own life to...keep your head up, faith strong and feet "Moving 4ward".

Born and raised in Troy, Alabama, Zac Etheridge dreamed of playing football for Auburn University and an NFL team, for as long as he can remember. Faith, Family and Hard Work drove Zac to excel in both academics and athletics. On the fast track to an early graduation and career in the NFL, Zac's world changed in an instant following a head on collision with a fellow teammate during the Auburn University vs. University of Mississippi game in October 2009. Zac suffered what should have been a career-ending neck injury. He was left temporarily paralyzed and suffered from a cracked fifth vertebra and torn ligaments in his neck. At the time, it seemed like walking again would be a huge triumph. However, in the months following his injury, Zac shocked his doctors by making a full recovery and was cleared to return to the football field, shortly before the beginning of the 2010 season. Never before had faith, family and hard work played a greater role in his life. After learning how many people were touched by his story, Zac, who wore #4 for the Tigers, knew he had a platform to encourage others and positively impact their lives. So, the "Keep Moving 4ward" mantra was born!

Chargers Tailgate

Deuce Brand teamed up with the San Diego Chargers and Vavi on 11.27.11 to help host a Pre-game tailgate party!  Deuce Brand couldn't have dialed up any better weather for the event.  It was sunny and 80 degrees with no clouds in the sky.  A perfect SoCal day!  Each person that came to the tailgate was throwing #deuces when they received their "Original" Deuce Brand watch for coming to the event.  

At the event was a DJ, games, raffles, appearances by the Chargers Cheerleaders, 3 wide screen TV's playing other games around the league, beer garden, and last but not least a lot of food!  Deuce Brand was happy to partner with Vavi on another great event in San Diego.  Although the chargers ended up losing to Tim Tebow's Bronco's in OT, everybody at the event came out with a win!
