Stephen Strasburg 5K

More than 1,750 people participated 2012 Stephen Strasburg 5K with Tony Gwynn benefiting the Aztec Baseball program.  #teamdeuce was there for the 2nd consectutive year. The Second Annual Stephen Strasburg 5K with Tony Gwynn took place on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at SDSU.

Strasburg said, "Today's activities and the turnout from the community exceeded my expectations in every way," On behalf of all Aztecs alumni everywhere, I am proud and honored to be able to give back to this great universitythat has given me so much. This is a wonderful reminder of why San Diego is known as America's Finest City. Go Aztecs."

Deuce has a licensed sports watch with San Diego State University, and will continue to support all sports from Baseball to the snowboard club!

Breast Cancer 101

Do you know that breast cancer strikes Caucasian women most often, followed by African American, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latina, and Native American women.

However, African American women are most likely to die from breast cancer, followed by Caucasian, Hispanic or Latina, Native American, Asian American and Pacific Islander women.

We don't know the precise causes of breast cancer and no one can tell who will develop breast cancer.  But researchers have found a number of things that may increase a woman's chance of getting breast cancer.  These are called risk factors.  Some risk factors can be controlled, while others cannot.  However, women who do not have any risk factors can still develop breast cancer.

With this support, Quiet Storm Foundation is able to continue to carry out its mission with the steadfast purpose of providing educational resources to at-need schools in Chicago. Proceeds from this event will greatly benefit Sumner Academy, Nicholson Elementary and Robeson High School.

On Sunday, January 30, 2011, the Quiet Storm Foundation and CJ Watson of the Chicago Bulls hosted its first annual charity fundraiser “Vegas Nights” at the Chicago Cultural Center and Deuce Brand flew in to deliver CJ his long awaited signature G2 watch. As evidenced by the over 250 attendees, the event was a true success and raised over $33,000 through the support and generosity of friends, sponsors, and industry leaders. Coach Mack Brown taking on Duchenne

Deuce Brand attended the Cure Duchenne Charity Event in Austin, TX on May 6th, 2011. The event was hosted by Coach Mac Brown from the University in Texas in order to support fundraising for Duchenne muscular dystrophy which affects children before the age 6 and the ability to walk may be lost by the age of 12. Athletes such as Vince Young, Ricky Williams and Colt McCoy who was caught wearing Deuce G2 watch attended the event! Over a hundred items: including jerseys, helmets, skate decks and game tickets were placed in a silent auction to fundraise for research. In previous years the event raised thousands of dollars!
