Nolan Smith
Smith, born July 25, 1988 in Louisville, Kentucky, is a 6'2" point guard for the NBA's Portland Trailblazers. He played four impressive years of college basketball for Duke University earning the name "The People's Champ" because of his outstanding abilities on the court and unwavering dedication to the fans throughout his four years there.
Smith's road to success was not an easy one, losing his father (former NBA player Derek Smith) at a young age. However, he stayed motivated and as a senior playing the game his father loved at Duke, Smith was named a first team AP All-American and the ACC Player of the Year. Not long after that, this success found a new level when he was chosen 21st overall in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.
